Found Poetry: "Tingle Song"

Chew the gum slowly until it tingles.
Then park it between your cheek and gum.
When the tingle is gone,
Begin chewing again,
Until the tingle returns.

STUDENTS: Note the sophisticated amiguity in the use of the word "gum," thus intimating a variety of subtextual interpretations. Discuss. EXTRA CREDIT: Discuss the rhythmic structure of the poem, with special attention to the subversion of conventional expectations. TEN POINTS: for each use of the word "gender."
