Rarely Asked Questions (RAQs)

In the interests of future copy, I am soliciting Rarely Asked Questions. The subject matter is entirely open, though I'd request that questions remain restricted to the intelligible, and not used as an excuse for hectoring or empty moralizing, areas I reserve for myself. In turn, my answers will be intelligible, with as much care, accuracy, and attention to fact as I think the question deserves. Failing the receipt of any questions whatsoever (the rarity of never-asked questions being infinite), I will have to pretend that my answers are prompted by public curiosity, something I pretty much do anyway.
You can leave your questions under Comments, or leave an e-mail under the heading RAQs at
